HARI RAYA KUNINGAN

Umat Hindu di Bali memiliki sejumlah perayaan hari suci salah satunya adalah hari Raya Kuningan, dirayakan setiap 6 bulan sekali (210 hari) sesuai penanggalan kalender Bali, yaitu pada hari Saniscara (Sabtu) Kliwon, wuku Kuningan.

Perlu diketahui dalam satu bulan kalender Bali berjumlah 35 hari, karena perhitungannya berdasarkan pertemuan antara Panca Wara yang berjumlah 5, Sapta Wara berjumlah 7 dan Pawukon yang berjumlah 30. Hari Raya Kuningan, salah satu hari besar Agama Hindu ini dilaksanakan bertepatan 10 hari setelah perayaan Hari Raya Galungan.

Kuningan menjadi salah satu hari besar atau hari suci bagi umat Hindu, maka semua umat Hindu di Hari Raya Kuningan ini menghaturkan sembah untuk memohon berkah, keselamatan dan kesejahteraan bagi semua umat. Rangkaian pelaksanaan Hari Raya Kuningan sebenarnya lanjutan dari rangkaian hari Raya Galungan.

Kemudian 5 hari setelah Galungan adalah Pemacekan Agung, kemudian Penyekeban, Penyajaan, Penampahan dan puncak perayaannya Hari Raya Kuningan, esok harinya adalah Manis Kuningan dan rentetan perayaan paling akhir adalah saat hari Pegat Tuwakan, yaitu 32 hari setelah Kuningan bertepatan pada hari Buda (Rabu) Kliwon, wuku Pahang.

Pada saat Hari raya Kuningan, umat Hindu akan menghaturkan persembahan kepada para leluhur, memohon kemakmuran, perlindungan, keselamatan dan juga tuntunan ke hadapan Ida Sang Hyang Widi Wasa. Pelaksanaan upacara ataupun persembahyangan dalam rangkaian Kuningan, dilakukan hanya setengah hari saja, sebelum jam 12 siang pelaksanaan sudah harus kelar semua.

Karena diyakini, sebelum siang hari energi alam semesta seperti kekuatan pertiwi, akasa, apah, teja dan bayu (Panca Mahabutha) mencapai klimaknya, dan setelah siang hari memasuki masa pralina dimana energi tersebut sudah kembali ke asalnya, dan juga para Pitara, Bhatara dan Dewa sudah kembali ke sorga.

Pada saat perayaan Hari Raya Kuningan, yang menjadi ciri khas dari isi sesajen atau persembahan umat Hindu adalah berupa nasi kuning, berbeda dengan pelaksanaan pada saat upacara lainnya ketika Galungan, Pagerwesi, Saraswati dan hari suci lainnya yang menggunakan sarana nasi putih.

Pada saat Kuningan memakai sarana nasi kuning, sebagai lambang sebuah kemakmuran yang telah dianugerahkan Sang Pencipta dan juga menghaturkan persembahan lainnya sebagai ucapan terima kasih manusia, berikut syukur atas segala anugerah dari Tuhan. Sarana upakara lainnya adalah tamiang, endongan, dan lamak.

Begitu banyak hari raya suci agama Hindu, selain menyuguhkan budaya alam Bali juga nilai estetika membuat para pelancong yang datang dan liburan ke pulau Dewata Bali menjadi kagum dan ingin mengenal budayanya lebih dekat lagi.

Sehingga pesona alam pariwisata Bali tidak hanya karena keragaman objek wisata dan tempat rekreasi alamnya saja, tetapi juga karena budaya luhur serta sejumlah tradisi yang diwariskan oleh para leluhur masyarakat Bali, menjadi hal menarik bagi wisatawan.

Simbol Dan Makna Sarana Di Hari Raya Kuningan

Jika diamati sejumlah sarana (jejahitan) yang digunakan dalam perlengkapan upacara di Hari Raya Kuningan ini cukup spesial, tentunya sarana tersebut mengandung filosofi atau arti dari sebuah simbol yang wajib digunakan.

Alat upacara atau sarana yang paling khas dalam perayaan Kuningan ini adalah Tamiang, bentuknya bulat seperti periasi, dirajut dengan indah dari bahan daun kelapa muda atau janur, menyimbolkan sebuah tameng yang menjadi perisai dalam perang.

Tamiang sendiri sering dimaknai sebagai simbol perlindungan diri karena bentuknya seperti perisai, bentuknya yang bulat dipahami juga sebagai lambang Dewata Nawa Sanga yang merupakan penguasa sembilan arah mata angin.

Tamiang juga diartikan sebagai roda alam atau cakraning manggilingan yang dipahami sebagai roda kehidupan yang selalu berputar. Semuanya menjadi warisan budaya Hindu yang terjaga dengan baik yang berkaitan dengan kehidupan beragama di pulau Dewata Bali.
