MPLS SMP Dwijendra Denpasar Tahun Pelajaran 2021/2022

Masa pengenalan lingkungan sekolah (MPLS) di SMP Dwijendra Denpasar dengan tema “Menggali dan Mengembangkan Potensi Diri di Tengah Pandemi” telah berlangsung dari tanggal 12 Juli 2021, dan tahun ini adalah tahun kedua untuk pengenalan lingkungan sekolah dilaksanakan dalam jaringan (daring).

Namun ada yang berbeda dalam MPLS  kali ini, sebab proses pengenalan lingkungan dilaksanakan dengan 2 cara yaitu secara live dan youtube live streaming, sehingga siswa dapat mengakses materi MPLS melalui link youtube dan mengikuti kegiatan MPLS ini dengan lebih mudah. 

Akibat pandemi Covid-19 yang belum berakhir, tahun ini menjadi tahun kedua pelaksanaan MPLS dilakukan secara daring. Untuk menghadapi situasi ini, setiap sekolah pasti melakukan berbagai strategi agar materi MPLS  dapat diterima dengan baik oleh siswa baru. 

Pada tahun ini, pihak sekolah melaksanakan kegiatan MPLS dengan memanfaatkan aplikasi pertemuan virtual seperti Zoom Meeting dan menggunakan aplikasi Youtube Live Streaming dengan merekam terlebih dahulu materi yang akan disampaikan kepada siswa SMP Dwijendra Denpasar.

Menurut Kepala SMP Dwijendra Denpasar, I Ketut Budayasa, S.T, kegiatan MPLS ini harus dilaksanakan dengan sebaik – baiknya dengan merekam materi MPLS yang diberikan kepada siswa. Lalu, siswa dapat mengakses melalui youtube, beliau menyampaikan bahwa walaupun anak – anak mengikuti kegiatan MPLS secara daring, tetaplah semangat dan marilah kita hadapi situasi ini bersama – sama dengan selalu mengikuti instruksi pemerintah dan mentaati protokol kesehatan. Tujuan MPLS ini tiada lain adalah 1) Untuk membantu siswa baru beradaptasi dengan lingkungan sekolah dan sekitarnya, 2) Menumbuhkan motivasi, semangat, dan cara belajar efektif sebagai siswa baru, 3) Mengenali potensi diri siswa baru, 4) Mengembangkan interaksi positif antar siswa dan warga sekolah lainnya, dan 5) Menumbuhkan prilaku positif antara lain kejujuran, kemandirian, sikap saling menghargai, menghormati keanekaragaman dan persatuan, kedisiplinan, hidup bersih dan sehat.

Di dalam kegiatan MPLS ini perlu adanya kerjasama yang baik antara pihak sekolah dan orang tua siswa yang menjadi pendamping siswa/siswi di rumah sehingga kegiatan ini dapat berjalan dengan lancar. Setiap materi MPLS selalu diberikan dengan tepat waktu sehingga seluruh siswa dapat mengikuti dengan baik. Hal ini dilakukan adalah untuk membiasakan para siswa baru untuk melaksanakan kebiaasaan disiplin dan bertanggungjawab, sehingga walaupun pembukaan MPLS ini dilaksanakan secara daring, pendidikan karakter tetap dapat diberikan sehingga membentuk insan yang berbudi luhur, cerdas, kreatif, inovatif dan tanggap lingkungan sesuai dengan visi dan misi SMP Dwijendra Denpasar.
